The Green Mile (1999) DVDrip

The film takes place mainly in the thirties in a death row at Cold Mountain, however, begins in the present. The 108-year-old Paul lives with other seniors in a nursing home. In the Community Television, Paul suddenly begins to cry, because he remembers that the prisoner, John Coffey had said shortly before his execution, the desire to see this movie. Then the action switches to the thirties. At that time, Paul was a law enforcement officer on death row and had the task – together with his colleagues – to guard sentenced to death and carry out the execution using an electric chair.

John Coffey, a new prisoner is being transferred to Death Row. He is an approximately two meters tall, very muscular black man who was convicted of murder and rape of two little girls. He is not very intelligent and speaks in short sentences. He entertains the thought of a child, and he also is very afraid of the dark. Paul soon realizes that the appearance Coffeys reflects his true nature. John has the supernatural gift, animals and people of their ailments and diseases to liberate. This gift he uses first to release Paul from a painful bladder infection too. This makes Paul very thoughtful as it is the unalterable opinion that God had never fitted a killer with such a gift. Coffey had tried to retrieve the two girls back to life, but not abolished it. He was arrested and mistaken for the murderer.

Paul Coffey, John makes the offer to let him go easily, but Coffey would not. He longs for death, as it is the suffering in the world and the people dealing with each other can no longer endure. The day after John Coffey is executed and asks, sitting in the electric chair only a matter of him not hide your eyes, because he was so scared in the dark. This is the last execution for Paul and his colleagues, as they are moved to ask, too.

Paul Edgecomb can not forget, “having killed a true miracle from God.” He and the healed by Coffey mouse, Mr. Jingles, experiencing an unnaturally long life, the end does not occur even at the end of the film. Paul sees his long life as a punishment and asks himself continually: when John Coffey was able to make a mouse, such a long life, how long he will live even?
