Precious (2009)

In poor and disadvantaged Harlem of the eighties, lives the adolescent Precious, obese and illiterate. Raped by her father and became pregnant, gives birth to a child with Down syndrome, though not enough to endure the daily humiliation by the mother.
When the school discovers that Precious is pregnant again, again because of the violence of his father, hunting. Thanks to the interest of the director, the girl is sent to an institution for children with social problems. They slowly began to regain confidence in herself, learning to read and write, with the help of a teacher and a social worker, Precious begins a journey towards a normal and decent life.
