After years of disagreement about what his true happiness, success and love truly, Dave (Morris Chestnut) and Clarice Johnson (Taraji P. Henson) is finally breaking into their marriage. When Clarice is seriously injured (and lame) in a car accident, is subjected to the interference of chatter her mother Mary (Jenifer Lewis), the obvious truth that more than just her injuries need immediate attention. Your chances of the poor as Clarice begins to see a physiotherapist, and Dave develops a friendship with Julie (Maeve Quinlan) and her teenage son Bryson Yours (Jay Cannon).

The acceptance and comfort, Dave takes awakens in them the desire for a family and a passionate partner. Unfortunately Bryson died unexpectedly in a swimming accident, Dave and Julie Clarice close relationship and moves further away, have to ask her whether you easily broken vows. Later, Dave visits Julie, after she calls him, and he comforts her in her grief. They start to kiss, but Dave is Clarice realizes he really wants. The united pair, and Dave discover that Clarice is pregnant.
