The 15-year-old David Rice broke through the ice of a frozen river. Shortly before the drowning, he suddenly appears at the bottom of the school library, and discovers that he has the ability to teleport. Then she gives David a head start and he leaves her house. The film ends with a single jump of David and Millie.
