1899, China is under the control of the Qing Dynasty, is their financial capital in Shanxi. The Kang family is part of the national banking empire, also known as China’s Wall Street. Mr. Kang (Zhang Tie Lin) is looking for a suitable successor for the family banking business, and he decides his third son, the Third Master (Aaron Kwok) and the other brothers fiance involved in accidents. Third Master is first reluctant, but succumbed to the stern and autocratic policies of his father. When his age catching up slowly, and he wants to continue with the next generation of the family banking business, the Lord has decided Kang, sent his son to a ruthless businessman like himself. However, his son has always questioned his father’s style of leadership and love of free trade principles. The tense and contradictory relationship between father and son continue to deteriorate, if third master of his love for his mistress (Hao Lei), who brings his stepmother expressed. It is the first and only love of his life. It all started when she was English teacher, but it was his strict father, whom she eventually married. Third master must now decide to follow his father or his own way in life …
