Crossing Over is a film directed by Wayne Kramer from the year 2008. The work deals with individuals and families who reside in the United States legally or illegally. Plays a major role in the film while Harrison Ford as Max Brogan, who works for the immigration service and to help the immigrants tried again and again. Episodic fit the different strands of people and their fates together gradually.

Wayne Kramer, themselves immigrants from South Africa, has filmed his eponymous new short film from 1995 and is both a producer, director and screenwriter. The film was shot 2007 in Los Angeles. The film had been on 3rd December 2008 in the United States premiere. The German film was released in the 25th June 2009.

Every day try to migrants from around the world in Los Angeles to find a new home. But foreigners who want to get a residence permit for the United States, often have significant difficulties with the local bureaucracy. The dedicated officer Max Brogan wants to hold regular raids into the U.S. illegally immigrated immigrants. The administrative officer of Cole Frankel, however, is responsible for awarding green cards, but tends to abuse his position for private purposes.

Some plot lines – especially the one from Ford – are enthralling, and excitingly told, but are undermined by the silly constraint that must cross the stories again sometime and influence.

Many tears only to Wayne Kramer. But reflecting sent from these small, reduced to essentials splinters, the individual facets and weaknesses of the system, assumes an enormous impact. The connections between the individual narratives arise quite naturally, and each viewer can fill in the blanks themselves. Moreover, Kramer makes each of his characters come into their own. He was not convicted, but he does not deny the debt, which invites everyone in this broken world to itself.
