A young couple is traveling in their car, somewhere in the vastness of Nebraska, when suddenly run over a boy. The boy however, was already dead, thrown on the street. Wrapping the corpse in the trunk and want to take him to the nearest town to pass this to the authorities. They contact Gatlin, an apparently completely extinct city. Both have to find that all adult residents were killed by the children as they engage in a bloody cult.
