Away We Go is a 2009 comedy-drama film about a young couple who are expecting their first child. After learning of the child, the paternal grandparents moved away to the couple decide they have no reason to stay in their rural town, and start with a visit to family and friends in the United States and Canada to try the perfect place to raise their families soon. On the way they learn through other alternate pairs what to do and what not to do when they are parents. The main roles are played by John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, Allison Janney, Catherine O’Hara, Jeff Daniels, Paul Schneider, Carmen Ejogo, Chris Messina, Melanie Lynskey, Josh Hamilton, Jim Gaffigan and Maggie Gyllenhaal. It was written by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes and the husband and wife team of Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida.

On the way they have adversity and find new connections with a range of family and old friends who could help find her ‘home’ to their own conditions for the first time.
