American Son (2009) DVDRip XviD

The story of a young Marine, fresh from Camp Pendleton, who is forced to the complexity of adulthood and a volatile home life during a four days confront Thanksgiving.

A young man tries to bind a number of loose ends before he moves in the war in this independent drama from director Neil Abramson. Mike Holland (Nick Cannon) is nineteen years old and just completed his training as a private in the United States Marine Corps. Mike had a four-day, so he visited his family for Thanksgiving, and then orders for service in Iraq to fight. Mike wants to spend time with his family and friends before he ships, but he does not want anyone stationed in Iraq will tell. While the bus home to Bakersfield, California, Mike meets Cristina (Melonie Diaz), and it does not take long for him to realize that he is in love with her. Mike is a date to spend some time with Cristina, but he already has a calendar for the next four days.

Mike brings his sister (Erica Gluck), his loving mother (April Grace) and her new husband silently (Tom Sizemore), and sees his estranged father (Chi McBride) for the first time in years. Mike is also linked to his best friend Jake (Matt O’Leary), but discovers he began a different path in life, while Mike was in Boot Camp. And Mike happens to a disabled soldier back from Iraq (Jay Hernandez) who gives him an idea of what he expects to meet during his service also.
