ABC2 – Navigators – Baudin Vs Flinders – Part1: The Race (2003)

In 1801, two men, one of the biggest departure to Ocean Racethe world has never seen. The rivals – Frenchman Nicolas Baudin and Matthew Flinders British challenger – Expeditions are each in the “Voyages of Discovery Day.” Captain Nicolas Baudin, with the guidance of the most ambitious French ‘Voyage of Discovery, “ever assembled – two boats with 22 scientists and the best technology, revolutionary France to offer tax charged.

Baudin ships back to France probably carry the largest collection of natural history specimens ever collected. But Baudin will be vilified and ultimately forgotten by history, is especially difficult because scientists of his trip, Francois Peron.

Baudin rival is a cheeky young English Lieutenant Matthew Flinders, an ambitious 26-year old – a talented man and poor, honored today as one of the greatest explorers of Australia, but he is virtually unknown in his own country, Britain.

Both missions are searching for the unknown shores of New Holland map. Below are the adventures of your life, the men were soon pitted themselves against shipwreck, scurvy, imprisonment and death and each other. Having started to conquer the unknown, in the end they discover that the unknown would have defeated them.
